Position Objectives:

Essential Job Functions

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, AC, or electrical issues and resolve them meeting quality and time standards.
  • Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability.
  • Provides service advisor/writer with detailed repair or estimate notes including parts or labor when necessary.
  • Ensures all safety policy and procedures are followed while on company time.
  • Work Independently and perform duties necessary in the field when mobile.
  • Follow all company or manufacturer service policies and procedures for service or warranty repairs.
  • Keep inventory levels of parts and supplies needed.
  • Maintain and protect all company tools and assets.
  • Keep work area or service vehicles clean and orderly.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance while working with customers.
  • Must provide necessary tools to perform this job.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
  • May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week as business dictates.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a high school graduate or have a GED
  • 4 to 6 years of automotive experience as a mechanic or technician.
  • Must have recognized A/C Certification for recovery and recharge of mobile A/C systems
  • ASE certification in Brakes, Steering & Suspension preferred.
  • Candidate must have high level skills in electrical diagnosis and wiring diagram comprehension.
  • Candidate must have a CDL license with Passenger endorsements or able to obtain one within 8 months of employment.
  • Diesel automotive experience and welding experience is preferred.

Physical Abilities

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to grasp power and hand tools.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds on a frequent basis and more than 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Mobility requirements include frequent bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, pulling, pushing, crawling and climbing.
  • Use of ladders to no higher than 4 feet.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to fit into tight spots, such as under a vehicle or in a far corner of an engine.

Work Environment

  • Time is spent inside and outside of vehicles.
  • Able to be exposed to various fluids such as oil, brake fluid, cleaning fluid, transmission fluid and other fluids and oils associated with engines and cars.
  • Time is spent working outside in both very hot and very cold weather.
  • Must be willing to wear required safety equipment like: gloves, eye, and ear protection.

Hudson Bus Sales is a full-service bus dealership operating in Orlando and Texas. We offer New & Pre-Owned Bus Sales, Parts & Service, Paint & Body, Rentals and Graphics Wraps. Our customer base is concentrated in the DFW metroplex, Houston, Orlando, but spans across the US.

The Sales Representative will sell vehicles and services to new and existing customers. They build relationships with customers, pitch products or services, negotiate sales prices, contact customers throughout the sales process, and answer any questions customers have about the product. The Sales Representatives is expected to find new sales leads through client referrals or cold calling. The Sales Representatives will have quotas and targets that they must meet or exceed.

The right candidate needs to have enthusiastic but efficient customer service skills, excellent verbal communication, knowledge of multi phone line systems, strong organization skills and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • This is a Commission based role. A drawn amount can be considered prior to commission being earned.

Job summary**
Collision Center Manager/Automotive Paint and Body Estimator will support our internal and external customers by creating timely accurate estimates to repair or refresh their vehicles appearance. This position will be involved from estimation to invoicing and maintaining constant communication with the customer throughout the process. Customer experience is key! Our primary industry is buses but we do not limit completing other types of vehicles and equipment.

Some Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare complete and accurate repair estimates including parts and labor;
  • Track the vehicle’s progress through the repair process, keeping the customer continually informed and the files updated
  • Providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Communicate supplements to customers and insurance companies
  • Presenting information and responding to questions from internal department managers, clients, customers
  • Evaluating practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident
  • Create and manage work orders assuring workflow maximizes efficiency for the department
  • Meeting or exceeding revenue targets by capturing every viable job that comes to the door, and upselling additional services
  • Excellent sales abilities and overall communication skills
  • Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
  • Explain all completed work and charges to customers
  • Manage overall workflow throughout repair process

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience writing service or paint and body estimates.
  • 2 years experience managing a shop.
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Teammate with collaborative mindset;
  • Basic Computer skills;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Computer experience and willingness to learn new programs;
  • Confidence to handle high volume estimator needs under limited availability;
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;
  • Ability to learn new technology and research OEM repair procedures;
  • Experience with Mitchells Pro Demand and RO Writer experience a plus.
